Grandma had an operation at SGH yesterday on her right knee. The stupid op was supposed to start in the morning but it ended up in the afternoon. Poor grandma had to go without food for a full 12 hours!! Can you imagine? The fact that she was a great eater pained me even more. She said she vomited during the op! Twice! Yep, she was conscious during the op... The doctors only injected the anaestaic (or wudever) from the chest down! Oh, and she said she took a peek at the black and white television when the op was in progress. You know, what the doctor was doing with the inside of her knee... And I was like OMG~!! What did you see?? And she said that she avoid looking at it afterwards because she didn't wanna imagine what the doc was scraping at inside her poor knee. She's right here with me at our house now watching television. Yesterday was indeed the most boring day of my life... Having to wait from morning to evening for the op to be over. It was worth it though... Hey, that's me grandma we're talking about! She's the most wonderful grandma anybody could ever wish for. I'm just really thankful that the op was successful. Ya, I think that's just about what happened yesterday
