Yesterday was a day of outing with mom and bro. Haven't gone out with the family for ages and yep it was fun! Went to Sakae Sushi to have brunch (breakfast and lunch) and of course, we had sushi. :) Mom invited grandpa to join us too because he love the fishes there. In Sakae, they call it the "Unagi" or whatever. So anyway, mom got cheated because she had this 100 dollars Sakae coupon but in the end we still had to pay 63 bucks. So much for free treats. Like the saying goes, "There's no free lunch in this world" and its so damn right true.
So after sushi, mom, bro and I went to Lavender to get our passports updated because like I mentioned earlier, we are going to TAIWAN! We had to go through the whole gruelling process: Taking the queue no, waiting and rotting there until it was our turn. Yea.. That's just about what we did there .
After that bro suggested that we went bowling. I wasn't keen on the idea initially because I always seem to get the lowest score. :( Well anyway, I gave in eventually and it's off to Safra in Yishun. We didn't bring socks so mom had to invest like $3 on 3 pairs of socks? haha and oh ya.. mom taught me to bowl. It's not as if she's a fantastic bowler or anything.. She taught me to aim by looking at the arrows on the lane. She taught me to swing the ball before releasing it. If she hadn't mention those arrows in the lanes, I wouldn't have noticed its presence at all. lol. what a lousy observor I am. So after she pointed out the arrows, I find it much easier to bowl and for the first time I my life, I STRIKED! WEE! I hit my highest score of 81! LOL. Nothing to boast of though. I saw a professional next to my lane and he hit like 200? Now that's what I call wicked.
It's funny how hours seem to fly pass when we are having fun. We finished like 3 games and had dinner at the coffeeshop near yishun interchange after that. It was wanton noodles for 3 of us! lol. It's been so long since we sat and ate as a family. Wish Dad was there. He never seem to stop working. Well anyway, while on our way to the MRT, there was this DVD/VCD promotion thingly and mom couldn't resist it. Being a huge fan of Korean movies, she HAD to get one of those serials, especially since it's super cheap at 50% off. While we are at it, bro went to the nearby gamestore to check out some gaming stuff. Oh yah, and I came upon this pair of slippers and fell in love with it. Ok maybe I'm exaggerating but it was quite unique. Mom bargained with the shopkeeper and pushed it down by 2 bucks to 22 dollars. wahaha and I insist on wearing it immediately after purchase.
I wish we could go out like that more often. Oh and lastly, I love my family! :)
