Tons of people, endless shoutings, flashy neon signboards screaming discounts, combined with the inevitable overbearing whiffs of smelly toufu. This the setting for a typical night market in Taiwan.
Allow yourself to flow with the sea of people and you'll realize that there are plenty in store for you. Stores sold practically everything, ranging from bubble tea, perfumes, clothes, bags, shoes, DVDs to even toiletries and door stoppers. Ladies will be delighted at the never-ending supplies of fashionable, outfits, hair accessories and trendy earrings of all sizes.
Humble food stores aligned themselves along the narrow pathways of the market while chefs remained busy at work. The occasional whiffs of pancakes, meat buns and delicious piping hot noodles make one's stomach growl with temptation. Local babblings in a mixture of hokkien and chinese were prominent over music blaring over the speakers.
Every step seemed to be accompanied with a 360 degree glance at the surroundings, while simply immersing yourself in the wonders of Taiwan. Welcome to the world of enjoyment, where eating and shopping dominates above everything else.
