Thursday. 22 January. Today. The day kicks off with PE as the first lesson of the day. Otherwise known as 1 hour in hell. They make you do inhumane activities such as running a full 6 to 8 rounds round the track, followed by a series of sit-ups, crutches, push ups, squarts, shuttle run, leg raisers, star jumps, standing broad jumps, jumping jacks and several more to be mentioned. Hmm.. I actually went through it twice every week? Now THAT's a feat.
After PE, lectures were next. Maths and chemistry at a serving. Imagine having to sit in the cold, trying to solve born haber and integration problems while still recovering from your tormenting run. Think aching butts, legs, calfs and feet. To top it all off, people in the lecture theatre could almost hear the additional noises that you are contributing to the environment. That is, the inevitable thunderous cries that are constantly emitting from your tummy.
Lunch came , followed by GP, where presentation was next. Yes, our group did euthanasia. To kill or not to kill? Spent about like half and hour on the ppt that we so painstakenly came up with during our precious weekends.
Next was geography, the most meaningless subject on earth. I mean, who cares if you know how volcanoes, rivers and mountains are formed? As usual, our geog teacher came in, nagged, reprimanded and did what she was best. She rambled on and on and on and on and on... Something about globalisation and the NIDL I guess... Time is always descibed as"wasted away" during geog lessons.
Following that was biology SPA for the A levels and a revision test. The bio SPA was okay I guess, considering that I studied the day before. The revision test was a killer ( At least, it was to me). I am soo going to flunk it 100.1%. I didn't even know there was this bio revision test until assembly this morning.
The day ended with a lathagic but elated me. The sole consolation? The day has ended. Whew.

Do you realise that everything in life comes in a form of cycles? One thing leads to another until it starts all over again from the beginning. It resembles a spinning circular wheel. Cycles are therefore a never-ending chain of reactions.
Cycle of waterFor example the cycle of water. Water evaporates from the sea to form water vapour, which rises to the sky, undergoing condensation to result in the formation of clouds. And when the clouds get saturated and heavy, it starts to rain. The rainwater falls back into the sea where it started from.
Cycle of LifeLife comes in a form of a cycle as well. The cycle of life and death. Babies are born from all around the world everyday. While babies are beginning their cycle of life, there are also people who are dying. Babies grow up, become children, then adults, reproduces, grow old and dies. And the cycle goes on and on.
Cycle of energyThen there is the cycle of energy. Like what all of us learnt in physics and chemistry. The born Haber cycle for instance? There's also Hess cycle and Newton's first, second and third laws. Yup.. Newton stated that energy cannot be wasted but it can be change to one form to another. Perhaps from potential to kinetic energy and back again. And thus, explains the interminable cycle of energy.
Cycle of materialsIn other words, recycling. Materials have their own cycles as well. Plastics, metals and paper are usually recycled. Once they have served their varying purposes, they are disposed and made into useful objects again. And the cycle repeats itself.
Cycle of airYes, air comes in a form of cycles too. Living organisms take in oxygen and gives out carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide are then absorbed by plants and trees and are used for photosynthesis in order for them to obtain food and energy. Photosynthesis in turn, results in the production of oxygen, which is once again taken in by living organisms.
Of course, there are several other things in life that occurs in cycles too. The question is where do you determine the start and the end? The egg or the chicken comes first? Leave it up to both your imagination and observations.

Here we are. Back to the mundane cycle of lectures, tutorials, science practicals and agonizing PE sessions that offer an eight round run around the track, and piles and piles and piles of homework. The only thing to look forward in school this year is the banishment of chinese and PW, subjects that never failed to burden a typical JC student. Hmm. Maybe not ALL students..
2007. It equals to my turn to sit for the dreadful A levels. How bad can it be? The answer: Very Bad. Considering that it is the "ADVANCED" level, I'll probably graduate with a B as my maximum grade. Well then again, it's not as if I had a choice. Once the deadly "A"s are over, I'm going to reward myself like never before. Think 8 full months of non schooling days. Rotting, stoning, slacking and partying tops my list for post exam activities.
I await the day of freedom.
